John Stone was appointed Chairman of Blevins Franks in April 2012 following his retirement from Lombard International Assurance S.A.

John’s financial services career spans over 40 years. He was the founder and Chairman of Lombard, Europe’s leading pan-European life assurance company specialising in estate and tax planning solutions designed to meet the needs of High-Net-Worth individuals and families. Based in Luxembourg, it operates in all major EU countries, Switzerland and in selected markets in Asia and Latin America.

John has also established a family foundation (www.thesff.com) focused primarily on water and sanitation programmes in the developing world and support for organisations in the UK helping disadvantaged youths and people suffering from mental illness.
