UK Practice Manager

James started his career in financial services in 2013, having previously played professional rugby in the North of England.

Prior to joining Blevins Franks, he held various roles in the UK insurance and wealth management sectors. James moved to Cyprus and joined the local Blevins Franks team there in 2018 as a Private Client Manager before relocating to Southern Spain in late 2020, and finally returning to the UK in 2023, where he was promoted to the position of UK Practice Manager.

James holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Dip PFS) from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and has further qualifications including the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from the CFA Society. He is currently working towards the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.

As UK Practice Manager, James works alongside our Regional Managers to ensure the efficient flow of business practices is maintained to the highest standards between our UK advisers and administration. James also provides ongoing tax, investment, and wealth management advice to Blevins Franks’ clients. With an in-depth understanding of issues facing expatriates who have returned, or are returning to the UK, he regularly visits clients to ensure their portfolios remain suitable, taking into account their unique circumstances and objectives and relevant market changes.

James is an adviser for Blevins Franks Financial Management Limited (BFFM) which is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
