After graduating from Heriot-Watt University in 2014 with an MA (Hons) in economics, James Stirling joined Balmoral Asset Management in Edinburgh on their graduate training program. There he attained his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). He latterly worked for Carbon Financial Partners where he attained his Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and gained Chartered Financial Planner status.

James joined Blevins Franks in 2023 and focuses on providing wealth management advice to clients living in Southern Spain, splitting his time between the Nerja and Marbella offices. He is supported by a team in client services as well as pensions, tax and investment consultants based in the Blevins Franks offices in Malta and London.

James is an adviser for Blevins Franks Wealth Management Limited (BFWML) which is registered with the Malta Financial Services Authority. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
