Our Partners focus on advising new clients in France, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus and Malta and helping to develop our growing client base. Suitable candidates must be at least Level 4 (Diploma) qualified or international equivalent.

Main Purpose of Partner Role

Provide tax driven strategic financial planning advice to British expatriates retired in continental Europe. Develop a growing client base by attracting new clients and providing ongoing advice to existing ones. Relocation to one of our core countries in Europe will be necessary.

What Blevins Franks offers

  • The in-house Tax Advisory Service (TAS) supports Partners by providing highly specialised tax advice for British expatriates, taking into account both their country of residence and the UK.
  • Private Client Managers (PCMs) provide regular and ongoing advice and service to clients in the local offices. This enables Partners to concentrate on generating more high-quality business.
  • Marketing support: relevant news articles and adverts published in expatriate newspapers, magazines, websites and social media, with regular radio broadcasts in some regions. Client/prospect seminars are typically run each Spring and Autumn in each location to generate local interest.
  • Exclusive client proposition for each country, working together with a variety of select product providers and high-quality names in investment management.
  • Offices in each country provide paraplanning services, including extensive client reports and administration support.

Who we are looking for

Financial advisers or members of the professional services industry seeking a change of career and/or environment and who are:

  • Experienced, with a track record of achievement in sales in financial services and/or a professional services industry.
  • Self-starters with an entrepreneurial attitude who can readily display clear drive and ambition; self-motivated and hardworking, professional, engaged and enthused.
  • Well-presented and articulate, with the ability to network effectively.
  • Willing to work within the ‘retired’ British demographic.
  • Qualified to at least Level 4 (diploma).
  • Technically proficient: must have the ability to learn, comprehend and advise high net worth individuals on tax-efficient investment structures.
  • Honest, with integrity and a good reputation.
  • Able to illustrate a record of competence, capability and financial soundness.
  • Knowledgeable, with highly developed negotiation skills.

What we expect from the successful candidate

  • Generate funds under management (FUM) of £5m to £6m in year 1; growing to £10m+ in year 2. Personal Funds available to help through early months.
  • Excellent networking skills to leverage from marketing evolutions and brand name. Will also need to break new ground; Partners are expected to generate referrals and to constantly source new clients, networks and leads.

Candidate package

  • Full in-house training provided, during which all reasonable expenses covered.
  • Negotiable/tailor-made package to suit.
  • Bonus/commission.
