Undecided?
It is not uncommon when considering a move overseas to be undecided as to where to go to live. We are often approached by clients who for example are considering moving to Spain or Portugal, or whether to stay in the UK or move to France. Or to Malta or Monaco etc. Indeed, it is even possible not to be tax resident anywhere: this is a legal position if done correctly.
Your research on the web will not uncover the various ways of saving tax. For example, Spain and France both reveal high headline tax rates, when in reality, if you know the ropes, there are ways of living there very tax efficiently. We often advise clients to let us know where they ideally would like to live ignoring tax, leaving it to us to advise on how to legally structure their affairs to achieve their goals. Do-It-Yourself tax research does not uncover the real ways of tax efficient living in a particular country.
