John McCann - Senior Partner

John has spent almost the whole of his working life within the financial services industry originally representing one of the largest investment groups operating within the UK.

John decided to extend his professional experience by becoming an independent financial adviser with a leading investment and insurance broker based in the North West of England. Subsequently John became a Director of the business and responsible for the entire investment marketing operation of this well regarded substantial firm of independent financial advisers.

In 1988 John moved to Spain and established Blevins Franks operating throughout the Costa Blanca, Costa del Almeria and the Costa del Sol. He now provides advice to private clients living in the Costa del Sol, between Marbella in the west and Nerja to the east. John has an established office in Mijas Costa where he is assisted by a team of administrators. Alongside John's own professional expertise as a financial planning and taxation adviser, he has built up a network of other professional intermediaries to support the services he offers to his clients.

John is authorised by the UK Financial Services Authority, individual reference number JXM02563. Blevins Franks Financial Management Limited is also authorised to give advice in Spain.

Chris McCann - Partner

Chris graduated from the University of Manchester in 1994 with a BA (Economics) Hons. He then went on to obtain his Investment Management Certificate. Chris has previously worked with Blevins Franks Investment Management Company in London, and then for Nikko Capital Management (UK) Ltd as a Fixed Income Fund Manager. He was responsible for the construction and management of over US$1bn in governmental, institutional and retail multi currency bond and money market portfolios.

Chris is John McCann’s son, and he moved to Spain in March 1999 to work as a Partner with John at the Mijas Costa office.

Chris is authorised by the UK Financial Services Authority, individual reference number CJM01356. Blevins Franks Financial Management Limited is also authorised to give advice in Spain.

Steve Langford - Partner

Steve joined the financial services industry in 1989, where he spent the first eight years of his career working for a major UK bank giving investment advice. In 1997 he made the move to become an independent financial adviser to broaden his horizons and knowledge. He was responsible for advising a number of high net worth clients. He has the standard UK Financial Planning Certificate and gained a distinction in advanced capital raising and most recently became a level 5 adviser with the Chartered Institute of bankers in Scotland.

Steve moved to Spain to join Blevins Franks in October 2011 in order to broaden his life as well as business experiences. He is responsible for the new office in Nerja, which is an expansion of the Blevins Franks offices already along the Costa Del Sol.

He is married to Sarah with three children and enjoys family activities, football, motor cycles and golf.
