Lou Cunningham - Partner

Lou is a well qualified and experienced independent financial adviser to the retired UK expatriate community, having provided such services for the last 19 years, of which the past 11 years have been in Cyprus. He has worked in a number of locations for a major expatriate financial services provider, including spells in Bahrain, Hong Kong and Istanbul.

Lou has considerable experience in advising expatriates living in Cyprus in respect of investment allocation for improving income and growth and the management of investment assets, as well as a keen awareness of UK inheritance tax avoidance planning - all vital issues for UK nationals living here.

Prior to joining Blevins Franks, Lou was a Director of Lysias Trustees Ltd, a company that specialised in advising expatriates on inheritance tax avoidance and other tax and financial matters concerned with the ownership of Cyprus based assets.

Lou holds the UK’s Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, a clear indication of his in-depth understanding of appropriate investment, taxation and trust matters, with an advanced appreciation of UK pension issues.

He likes reading non-fiction and follows most sports. He plays golf and badminton and enjoys scuba diving.

Lou lives in Armou, Paphos, with his wife Nausika and two children, Alexander and Leo.
